Rapid Router
← API reference

Frameworks

Part of the Rapid Router API reference. One OpenAI-compatible endpoint, https://rapidrouter.ai/api/v1, in front of every model in the catalog.

25Frameworks and integrations

Rapid Router speaks the standard chat completions API, so anything built against it works by changing two values: the base URL and the model string. No adapter, no SDK of ours to install.

from openai import OpenAI

rapidrouter = OpenAI(api_key="sk-rr-v1-...", base_url="https://rapidrouter.ai/api/v1")
r = rapidrouter.chat.completions.create(
    model="anthropic/claude-haiku-4-5",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Hello"}],
)

The same holds for LlamaIndex, Instructor, Continue, Cline, Open WebUI and anything else that lets you set a custom base URL. When a tool asks for an "OpenAI API key" it means a key for that request shape - give it a Rapid Router key.

One thing to watch: model names here are namespaced, like anthropic/claude-haiku-4-5, not gpt-4. A tool that hardcodes a bare model name needs that string changed too.
